In this Privacy Policy, we, Ready for Switzerland (hereinafter collectively referred to as we, us, or our), explain how we collect and process personal data. This document is not exhaustive; other privacy policies [or general terms and conditions, participation terms, and similar documents] may address specific matters. Personal data refers to all information that relates to an identified or identifiable person.

If you provide us with personal data about other individuals (e.g., family members, colleagues), please ensure that these individuals are aware of this Privacy Policy. Only share their personal data with us if you are authorized to do so and if the information provided is accurate.

This Privacy Policy is designed to meet the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection ("DSG"), and the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection ("revDSG"). However, the applicability of these laws depends on the specific circumstances of each case.

2. Collection and Processing of Personal Data

We primarily process personal data that we receive from our customers and other business partners in the context of our business relationships, as well as from other involved individuals, or data that we collect from users when operating our websites, apps, and other applications.

Where permitted, we also obtain certain data from publicly accessible sources (e.g., debt collection registers, land registries, commercial registers, press, internet) or receive such data from other companies within the READY FOR SWITZERLAND group, authorities, and other third parties (e.g., [credit agencies,] [address brokers]).

In addition to the data you provide directly to us, the categories of personal data we obtain from third parties about you include, in particular:

  • Information from public registers,

  • Information learned in connection with administrative and legal proceedings,

  • Information related to your professional roles and activities (e.g., to facilitate business transactions with your employer),

  • Information about you contained in correspondence and discussions with third parties,

  • Credit information (if we conduct personal transactions with you),

  • Information about you provided by individuals in your environment (e.g., family, advisors, legal representatives) to conclude or execute contracts with you or involving you (e.g., references, your address for deliveries, authorizations, compliance with legal requirements such as anti-money laundering and export restrictions),

  • Information from banks, insurers, distributors, and other contractual partners regarding the utilization or provision of services by you (e.g., payments made, purchases completed),

  • Information from media and the internet about you (as necessary in specific cases, e.g., for job applications, press reviews, marketing/sales),

  • Your addresses and, if applicable, interests and other socio-demographic data (for marketing purposes),

  • Data related to website use (e.g., IP address, MAC address of smartphones or computers, device and settings information, cookies, date and time of visits, accessed pages and content, used functions, referring website, location data).

  •

3. Purposes of Data Processing and Legal Bases

We primarily use the personal data we collect to conclude and execute our contracts with customers and business partners, particularly in the context of [DESCRIPTION OF CORE BUSINESS] with our customers, the procurement of products and services from our suppliers and subcontractors, and to fulfill our legal obligations domestically and internationally. If you act on behalf of such a customer or business partner, your personal data may also be processed in this capacity.

In addition, and to the extent permitted and deemed appropriate, we process personal data about you and other individuals for the following purposes, which reflect our (and, at times, third parties’) legitimate interests:

  • Offering and further developing our services, products, websites, apps, and other platforms where we maintain a presence;

  • Communicating with third parties and responding to their inquiries (e.g., applications, media requests);

  • Reviewing and optimizing procedures for needs assessment to enable direct customer engagement and collecting personal data from publicly available sources for customer acquisition purposes;

  • Advertising and marketing (including hosting events), provided you have not objected to the use of your data (if we send you advertising as an existing customer, you may object at any time, and we will place you on a suppression list to avoid further marketing communications);

  • Market and opinion research, as well as media monitoring;

  • Asserting legal claims and defending against legal disputes and regulatory proceedings;

  • Preventing and investigating criminal activities and other misconduct (e.g., conducting internal investigations, analyzing data to combat fraud);

  • Ensuring the operation of our business, particularly our IT systems, websites, apps, and other platforms;

  • Video surveillance to safeguard property rights and other measures to ensure IT, building, and facility security and to protect employees, other individuals, and assets entrusted to or owned by us (e.g., access controls, visitor logs, network and email scanners, telephone recordings);

  • Buying and selling business units, companies, or parts of companies, as well as other corporate transactions, which may involve the transfer of personal data;

  • Implementing measures related to corporate management and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, as well as internal policies at READY FOR SWITZERLAND.

If you have granted us consent to process your personal data for specific purposes (e.g., signing up for newsletters or conducting background checks), we process your data within the scope of and based on your consent unless another legal basis applies. Consent may be withdrawn at any time; however, this does not affect any data processing activities that occurred before the withdrawal.

4. Cookies / Tracking and Other Technologies Related to the Use of Our Website

We typically use "cookies" and similar technologies on our websites [and apps] to identify your browser or device. A cookie is a small file sent to your computer or automatically stored on your computer or mobile device by the web browser when you visit our website [or install our app]. When you revisit the website [or use our app], we can recognize you, even if we do not know who you are.

In addition to session cookies, which are used only during your visit and deleted after you leave our website, cookies may also store user settings and other information for a specified period (e.g., two years) as "persistent cookies." You can configure your browser to reject cookies, store them only for a session, or delete them prematurely. Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default.

We use persistent cookies for various purposes, including:

  • Saving user settings (e.g., language preferences, auto-login);

  • Understanding how you use our services and content better;

  • Displaying personalized offers and advertisements to you, which may also appear on other companies' websites. These companies, however, will not know who you are unless we know and share this, which we typically do not.

[Some cookies are set by us, and others by our partners.] If you block cookies, some functionalities (such as language selection, shopping cart, or order processes) may no longer work.

[We may include visible and invisible image elements in our newsletters and other marketing emails, allowing us to determine whether and when you opened the email. This helps us measure and improve the relevance of our offerings. You can block this in your email program settings; most email programs are configured to block such tracking by default.]

By using our websites [, apps], and consenting to receive newsletters or marketing emails, you agree to these technologies. If you do not wish to accept them, you must configure your browser or email program accordingly [, or uninstall the app if the settings cannot be adjusted].

Google Analytics and Similar Services
We may use Google Analytics or similar services on our websites. These are services provided by third parties that can be located anywhere globally (in the case of Google Analytics, Google Ireland, based in Ireland, relies on Google LLC, based in the USA, as a processor). These services help us measure and analyze website usage (non-personalized).

Persistent cookies set by the service provider are used for this purpose. We have configured Google Analytics so that IP addresses of visitors are truncated in Europe before being transferred to the USA, ensuring they cannot be traced back to individuals. We have disabled "data sharing" and "signals" settings.

While we assume that the data we share with Google is not considered personal data, it is possible that Google may draw inferences about visitors' identities, create personal profiles, and link this data to their Google accounts. If you have registered with the service provider, the provider may know your identity. The provider processes your personal data under its privacy policies and takes responsibility for it. We only receive reports on how our website is used, without any personal data about you.

Social Media Plug-Ins
We use social media plug-ins on our websites, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, or Instagram. These are typically identifiable by their respective icons. We have configured these plug-ins to be disabled by default.

If you activate these plug-ins (by clicking on them), the operators of the respective social networks can register that you are on our website, where you are, and use this information for their purposes. The operators process your personal data under their privacy policies. We do not receive any information about you from them.
